Super Bowl Sunday

The production team is in the process of shooting Super Bowl Sunday, a powerful documentary about Bishop Fred Rubin that transcends the boundaries of race and explores how one man had the courage to follow his life's purpose.

Bishop Rubin was raised in a typical Orthodox Jewish home, but a series of life-changing events that began to unfold on Super Bowl Sunday in 1970, altered his path. He now stands in a place that no one including himself could have ever imagined. He serves as the Pastor and Apostle in a predominantly Black Pentecostal church in Manalapan, New Jersey.

His unusual story is a spiritual, compelling visual journey that takes place against the backdrop of the tulmultuous Civil Rights Era. Bishop Rubin broke out of life's box at a time when ideologies about race and religion were exceptionally prevalent and confining. Immersed in the Black community he defied the system, left Judaism behind and answered his calling.

A Man and His Music

Pisces Productions is in the final stages of completing the documentary, A Man and His Music, a profile about Red Bank proprietor John Gatta, known in Red Bank, New Jersey as local historian Johnny Jazz. His passion and knowledge of jazz from the bebop era motivated him to manage his eclectic corner store in a unique way that pays an tribute to jazz greats.
